Damien: Mike, you, like me, a lawyer by training. What led you to do trading?
Mike: I realized that the profession of lawyer on a third year Law Faculty - it's not mine. One day my childhood friend Steve Spencer invited me to New York for a party, where he met with his classmate from the Wharton School of Business Jared Keybenom. Together, they managed to convince me to try to do their trading in the company. I followed their advice and eventually stayed in this business after university.
Damien: What was your reaction when you first came in trading room with other traders?
Mike: Initially, the idea of it caused laughter. Do not forget that in those days there was no computer graphics or CNBC, or news feeds on the Internet. All that we had, it's one old computer CRT screen, and no air conditioning [both laugh].
