OPEC talks difficult disagreements over data on oil production
At a meeting in Vienna next week, OPEC will be very difficult to agree on concrete methods of measuring oil production for each of the countries, say in the JBC. This is necessary to restore mutual confidence between the members of the cartel because of the differences in the estimates of oil production.
The difference in estimates of OPEC oil production, including the data provided by the countries themselves, at the moment of this year reached 1.45 million barrels per day, or about 4.4% of the total, is added to the JBC.
Protracted preliminary consultations may mean that the negotiations are continuing, but may also point to the fact that the parties are the usual arguments about the real volume of production of each country, concluded in the company.
